Ruki: Shut up, fool! You're the one who drew horns on me!
D8 I'm falling behind!!! This was yesterday's. And I still have no idea what I'm going to do for today's theme... @.@;;;
Anywho, I like the concept of this piece the best so far out of what I've posted for IRW. I loved the idea of xBlackKalicox's drawing, "Picture of Love " and asked her if I could do a spin off of it.
This picture, then, is what IchiRuki is all about, imo. As much as we in the fandom like to see blushy-blush doki-doki romance and sensuality and love... it really isn't what the relationship is between the two of them. It's raw, and hard, and they get on each other's nerves, and they abuse and tease each other, and it's PERFECT for them! They aren't "lovers," but they're more than "friends;" they're this almost-kissing-love-hate-behind-a-mask-of-bickering-and-bantering couple of win. X3 Some people like to claim all that fighting is a sign of a bad relationship, but I don't think that could be farther from the truth; each one of them is always in a better, stronger place after they fight with the other.

I LOVE THIS! It fits them so well ahhh so sweet<3 (when I saw you were the artist I just went like 'Ah, of course') I think people exaggerate the bickering, love/hate aspect of their relationship- they talk roughly a lot but how often are they actually annoyed or mad at each other? But still, this picture really shows how they hide those mushy "she changed my world/dried the rain" type of feels behind little shows of "pfft, miss Rukia? Like hell!" Not fooling anyone!XD

Oh, absolutely! The only time I can think of either of them being legitimately mad with the other was when Ichigo went to Hueco Mundo without Rukia. She was deeply hurt by the idea that he didn't believe in her, and so she hits him and scolds him -- but even then, she goes back to "Don't you ever make me say something so stupid, again, you idiot!!" XD

Yep, even when they actually get mad at each other they quickly give the proper yelling and somehow end up smiling at each other and making everyone else feel uncomfortable around them XD

Not in canon, really. But it's a pretty commonly held belief amid the fandom that he does -- that's why he teases Rukia so much about her lack of skill. Also, it's cute to imagine Ichigo giving Rukia drawing lessons. (^w^)

I always think Ichigo would draw Rukia all devil-like, but secretly that's what he likes about her. He probably really loved the Halloween costume Kubo drew for her, then. ใตใตใตใต
And the same goes for Rukia and Ichigo's sideburns, in my imagination. She thinks they're sexy, but she'd never admit it. So the only logical thing to do, then, is to incessantly make fun of them. XD
