As a side note, I am terrible at accepting gifts. So, when and come in and blow my mind with this:Β , all I wanted to do was:1. Repay the debt
and
2. Do that design of Rose again, but better. (Cuz let's be honest, that old picture of mine was... embarrassing)...
Honestly, I love you guys so much. Doing this was so much fun!
Finally, I've done the great Sonance and Kaleena justice!
Though, I would've liked to do more color with this, but I was in love with the atmosphere that my traditional provided, so I made it very selective coloring. And I still can't do heads right...
Don't worry, number 2 is well under way.

Not that I was so nervous or anxious, but seeing your response was such a heartfelt relief.
I knew I wanted to do something special for you and Sweets, and I wanted it to be memorable, so I decided to do something a little... 'uncommon'. I wasn't sure how it would be received, or what I was going to do with the piece when I started, but now I see that it was all worth it. Though, drawing Kaleena and Sonance is always worth it, even if it doesn't look as good as your own renditions of them.

it's good that you tried something new/uncommon. a lot of artists aren't willing to try different styles, especially for backgrounds.

Β Β THIS IS GORGEOUS ! ! !Β ! ! !
When I saw this, the first thing I saw that I really liked was the way you handled the colors! The dark versus the white makes the characters really standout! Plus the colors on the key parts of the characters really gives it a unique vibe that I think drawings that have full color don't usually have ! I like the way the background is done too- look at all the detail !!!
Sonance and Kaleena look so cool too! The fur and the attention to detail- the poses and face expressions... 
Most drawings are just characters looking pretty, but this one- you can tell that they're looking over and watching out for that storm that's mentioned in the title !!! The amount of work you put into this is so obvious, not to mention the fact that this is so pleasant to look at ~ There's just so much in this drawing that I love, that I want to look at and stare at ! ! !

As much as I have improved with my digital, I'm glad I decided to keep this mostly traditional so it would make this piece that much more special.
