It has been so long since I have posted a new pic here that the submission page looks completely different! I am still alive, just very busy with RL work. This year my work will show up on a DVD feature, a series of webisodes, and 2 animation series on TV. Right now I am in the middle of yet another TV animation series that will keep me busy through the summer. The last thing I want to do after drawing all day is more drawing, especially when the weather is nice... I did have a lot of fun revisiting Cid and Vincent though. I miss doing fan arts. I need to find some more hours in a day.

Yay DVD features! *high five* Sorry to hear that I won't be working with your artwork for the next one, but you seem to be doing well and busy with work, and maybe it's for the best. Ed's been in lots of meetings lately and it looks pretty messy and stressful for him at the moment. Also, no lyrics until the last couple of weeks of 'boarding apparently. O_O

Can't wait to see how the movie turns out! I know it is a pain in the ass for you guys to animate, but the end result will look very pretty.
I am working on another CG show until the end of July. I like Monster High but this is another one I have worked on for several seasons. The producer is a guy who trained me back in the Jurassic Age so he lets me do pretty much what I want by this point.
Egads, no lyrics! I wish them good luck. They are going to have to revise everything...so much extra work for everyone.

a pain to animate indeed! And now we have less than 4 weeks left, we're -still- waiting for some models to be finished >.> But those models that are finished, they're absolutely beautiful! Can't wait to see it fully rendered...which may take forever at this rate XD But still, can't wait to see it! "Jurassic Age"? Hehehehe
Yep. And for now, it looks like they're not going to get the actual music until all the board artists are off to other shows, and it's only Ed and the revision-board artist left O_O Hope they'll have something better figured out by then.

I need to save my pennies so I can buy all the dolls from that series. Just the rough pencil sketches of the designs were very pretty. I can't wait to see them in real life. Maybe I will be doing more commisions...
Poor Ed! That is just an unfair workload. My current project is comparatively easy because all the main characters and sets have already been designed years ago, yay.

hehehe, one of my co-workers had worked on some shows that I loved as a kid, I sometimes tease him about being 'old'. He actually hasn't turned 40 yet XD
Yeah...I'm not going to be able to save much money this year.... Just got back from a trip to Japan, a close friend is getting married this summer, my dad's coming over, and i just got a cat~~ So yeah, plus the ghost dolls, i'm gonna be so poor! XD
Characters and sets that have already been designed years ago.....envy~~~~~~ even now some of our model designs for this show have not been approved.... I'm starting to wonder if we're ever actually going to get this show finished.

Japan sounds like fun, did you get lots of cool goodies? I never get to go overseas anymore...for the same amount of money it would take to send me on a decent overseas vacation for a week, the entire family can go on an RV road trip for 3 weeks.
All the main CG sets stay the same and everything else is random foliage, so it makes setups super easy! Good luck on that show...I know it will look great in the end, after all you guys' hard work.

That's actually what a lot of my co-workers say, that where and how they travel for vacations changed quite a bit when the kids came along. And yeah, the cost of taking an entire family on vacation overseas is steeeep. One co-worker's wife and children are now in Japan to visit the maternal grandparents, and so the co-worker is planning to eat dried pork flakes rice for a week, to both save on cooking time, and to save money. D: Still, I think it's good for young people to go out and see what other parts of the world are about. I've a cousin who has lived in different parts of China as a kid, but has never been in any other country, not even to Taiwan, and I don't think that did him much good. Even my aunt, who up until these last couple of years has encouraged his disinterest for travelling, is now changing her mind and thinking about dragging him out with her on overseas vacations. And that's another thing, it's MUCH more difficult to travel overseas when you're older. When my friends and I went to Tokyo, we pretty much walked 12 hours a day for a week, and we STILL haven't seen all we could/wanted of the city. My aunt and uncle came to visit us in Vancouver in April, and they just did NOT have the energy to walk for any length of time. Even though there's not that much for tourists to do in Vancouver, and even though they stayed for an entire month, they couldn't really do/see much of what the city has to offer. My grandma too, she had once dreamt of travelling across China, but then old age and chronic disease hit, and her health took a steep downward dive, so she never got to do it. So yeah, if there's any overseas travelling you want to do, best not wait too long to do it.

I have only been to Japan on short visits, so did not get to do all that much shopping...one of those days! Until then, I will have to be satisfied with Japantown in San Francisco and Seattle.
Haha, I used to walk around that much in Seoul and Hong Kong. So much to see and do! I was already in my 30's then, but still in good shape. I don't think I can do it now, I will probably have to stop at a cafe every hour.

hehe, well, Japan still has a LOT to offer when it comes to cafes. There are cat cafes, owl cafes, maid cafes, butler cafes, and normal cafes of course

My house is already too much like a cat cafe, with cats lounging all over the place. The only bad part is that I have to serve my own coffee. One of those days, I would love to try a butler cafe!
I got a nice new pair of hiking boots at the end of season last year. I need to break them in. Just take it slowly in the beginning, and drink plenty of water!

You should offer your artwork to one of your favorite fan fic writers instead! Your artwork looks very nice, I bet they would love to have something. I feel guilty because I have not been able to do anything for my favorite writers in a long time.

That is also a really good idea. Could I sketch you something? And thank you so much for the compliment. I am self taught and have a LONG way to go. I think I would really benefit from some life drawing lessons to make my poses look more natural. My anatomy hurts. But that is what practice is for!! c:
