I tried to do something different with the tweening and live stream it. It was a mistake... But, hey! It looks like I figured out how to get rid of those pesky white pixels that used to appear between separate layers! Sadly, though, I don't know how or if there is a way to make a transparent background, so I ended up having to make it into a simple blue one.
Anywho, this is Sound-of-Heaven 's Muna, Peony! I hope you like it! (Also, here are a couple different formats, if you'd want them! sta.sh/2k892xsigwo?edit=1 ) If there's anything you'd like for me to edit or change, feel free to ask!

A foreword; Breathing is a motion that is often underestimated for its complexity, due to the fact that it is so essential to basic functionality of an entity. Really emulating breathing is an incredible difficulty in animation and I have to commend you for the effort and overall atmosphere of it.
In terms of the artwork itself; Overall the layers you've used in the tweening fit well together, but I will mention that the back leg overlaps the pattern of the body, so you may want to consider drawing on translucent layers to try and avoid overlap. The snout also overlaps the eyes a tad. Your pserspective overall is strong however and the image feels proper.
And now onto the animation itself. You've done a good job with making sure that the animation is smooth, avoiding using stiff keyframes and making it appear robotic. I'd also like to commend you on your choice of direction, the chest compressions correspond with the proper head movements (chest expands, head tilts up) and all, which definitely helps make it much more convincing! The flow itself is very natural in terms of timing, but I do have a couple of problems with it.
1. The weight. Based on the way the character moves (with exaggerated motion for the breathing) it seems as though they're fairly large, but their breathing is incredibly quick. Generally, larger entities will breathe much more slowly with some exaggerated motion. If you wanted them to be smaller, their breathing can be faster but is typically less exaggerated unless they're panting.
2. Choices of movement. I understand that you want the facial features to be moving to create the illusion of depth, but there are a few outstanding issues with them. Most notably, the ears should be rotating more than moving in position, this would allow them to appear to move a bit more in a 3D space and still look properly attached to the head. Currently they look a bit detached. The fur on the face that moves from side to side breaks the flow a tiny bit, I don't believe it should be moving much for the perspective here since it should be in roughly the same place. The snout should also be rotating more than moving, as it makes it appear detached from the face. Overall I would just recommend either toning down the speed of the animation or the distance you have things moving from their initial positions.
3. The breathing itself. Although overall it is convincing, I couldn't help but notice that this character's chest right below the neck is opening up upon each breath, but the belly doesn't really move much. Although I understand this character is fictional, most standard creatures with an average sized body will have lungs that expand the upper belly as well (since it's debated whether it's part of the chest or not.) So just keep that in mind for the future!
Overall this is a very solid piece, the background provides a nice but not harsh contrast. The artwork itself is a nice, very pretty lineless style, and your flow of animation is quite good. I would just work more on the anatomy of it and choice of timing or exaggeration! Keep up the great work e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="

Oh my gosh, this is SO cool! Peony looks amazing! I love how smooth the movement is, and the pose is just so cute! Thank you so much for drawing my Muna, and for all the different versions. This was such a great surprise! Feel free to draw my characters anytime, 'cause this and the drawing you did of my Torimori Vivaldi before are some of my faves. Good luck in the raffle!
