Art trade withThis is his version of Shadow the ehedgehog c: though he draws his version better than me X3 his looks nice
i took advice from 2 ppl to make this, 1 was from someoen telling me about light sources and that even the darkest part of a body part (like his boots) can ahve light come on it, hold you arm under a light a light and you'll see that their light at the bottom of your arm c: )
And the guy who this AT is for told me to mess wiht filters..so i did XD

umm well the bg is mainly different filters...i can't really remember x: well this si rouch memory, first i scribbled some red lines on a duller red bg then went to pixelate- mosaic/pointillise can't remember, then uhh sketch- water paper. stylize- wind i think i put texture- grain. then other- minimum made it all dark and stuff.

This is absolutely splendid. The background does look rather lovely, you took my advice and did a better job with it than I ever could have, haha.
Also, as for the specifics on 'my' Shadow -- it's not a problem if you don't get everything 'spot-on'. The rounded tuft of fur on his chest was actually spawned from me being entirely too lazy to sharpen it. It looks fine with how you drew it. In fact, I rather like it. By no means is it wrong, nor does it look bad. The anatomy was actually a fluke in that drawing due to the pose, but once again, I'm not anal about proportions/anatomy on my characters anyways, haha. I do appreciate you trying to match it though. Not a whole lot of people are willing to go down to that amount of detail.
The hands, as others said before, are stunning. I really love the shading that you've done on them, much like the others have said. Everything about this picture is lovely.

oh my this is so nice o: on msn you said you shading was getting blah but to be it's getting better every time 8D but I wanna yammer about thel lines and the pose n stuff first (as usual, shadings always the ast thing i talk aboot o: ) so Ill get back to shadingness laterX3
So uhh yeah you lines are awesomeX3 I see that for once you didnt put fat oulines around him and I thiink here it liiks very awesome since the bg fills it good enoughX3 I dunno how to explain it but like on black bgs fat lines look better but with crazy bgs like that theyre a bit out of place to meX3 but other than that you did damn awesome with the lineart (especially the handsX3)8D The only thing that bothers me with the lines would be the chest furXD I think the roundiness of it is kinda too cartoony for this style, on your other shadows it good but big spines-shadow is more fluffy-likeX3
Talking about big spines, I know i say it everytime i see that but i really dont think 3 spines look goodXD even is the heads at an angle, all 4 spines should be showing (unless its a profile view but thats beside the point), and i find it especially weird if one spine iis there and not the otther considering theyre at the same angle o.o they should both be thereXD
so for moar bitching ummm well i thing the eyebrow lines are a little to close to the eyes, usually now those eyebrowy thing look better ot be if its jst shaded but not lined but thats just meX3 also, the tail is kinda longXD but on the other side I love you you made his hands>w< i know i said that earlier but who gives a snot theyre just too awesomeXD also i love the folds in the boots and the lil strapsX3 i like it when buckes are all shiny when theyre in a dark place 8D also this is kinda weird but i think his torso is too long compared to his legsXD i think im too used totall charsXD but i do like how shadow has hips for some reasonXD

like i said on msn, i think its because shado has too much large black spaces that the shading is weirdX3 well weird o you at least, in my opinion its awesome 8D I just love hiw you shaded his spines and stuff, its really smooth and purdy c: but my fav shading is the handsXD both looks so nicely shaded and shiny n so goodXD and i really like how you shaded is knuckles too, really nice touch that makes it look so realisticX3 yhe muzzle is also extremely awesome, i usually dun like his yellow skin but you pulled it off so wellXD and it also has that 3D effect tht i love yey 8D other thing i love with yer shading is how you did some back lighting (you know that lil line aroung the dark edges that makes it all shinyX3) if im not mistaken you took that from the neopety shading huh? bt the thing is that his bracelets and his eyes dont really look all that good compared to the rest for some reason, i think the shininess of the eyes fit more your chibi comicy style that half-realisticnessX3 so uhhhh try n stick with simple lighting? and you could use more smudging in them eyes tooX3 for the bracelets i think its just too squiglyXD but i still like the back lighting on his right braceetX3
as for the bg its prety awesome 8D messing with filters really worth itX3 and yus yus it fits shadowX3 and i dunno why but i thing the fact you didnt crop out the space around shadow really helps focus on him and gives it an awesome point of viewX3 i should try that sometime owo
as always its pretty awesom and all, some lil things i dun like but shit its nothing compard to the ammount of awesomeness you put in your workXD gosh i feel bad commenting on your stuff now cuz im pretty sure your getting tired of all the pairising and me always blabbering about the same stuff 'linart is aesome sading is pretu bg is cool' now you know why thers some stuff i dont commentXD getting out of ideas o:

yeah like i said solid color bgs work better with fat outlinesX3 like your big ass project bio thing the fat outlines n lil colored balls work better and normal lines wouldve made it look lamerXD
like i said the point of drawing stuff is to make it in your own styleXD like how i draw shannys hair weird while its not supposed to be like thatX3 so yeah dont copy every lil detail when you do stuff cuz like in this case those details might be there just out of lazynessXD
well the thing you gotta do is make the farther spines smaller due to angle n depth so it doesnt look weirdX3 ugh everyone looks so fucked up in sonic x XD

yesh those edges look lighter because of the light on the other side (which doesnt make any sence since the lights more in front on the character but oh well its nice anywayXD) makes it shineX3 hmm did she post the reshade on here or something? cuz id love to see it as i know stuff on shading too 8d
yeah psyche looked niceXD but thats cuz she has huge eyes, more like the anime ppl, youll see anime ppl with small irises wont have a billion shines in emXD
well usually metallic surfaces dont have soft shines like fur does but more like blotches of white, and with non flat stuff its usually a line on the side thats the closest to the lightX3 but for bracelet stuff what usually looks nice is one side being normal colored, the other sode beoing dark n a shiny line on the outher edge separating the normal n the dark colorX3 ill try n get you a pic to explain betterXD
yeah crop out spacesXD usually my pics have very few pixels between the character and the end of the picxD but here the space with just bgness looks nice so horray for lazynessXD

yeah a mouse..but lineart is done in a node n vector base program, no brushes X) photoshop seems like a much harder program for the pen tool /: i can't use it liek at all XD
