Ah, Wheatley looks adorable... <3
And a comeback from Wheatley in Portal 3, if ever made? That would be totally epic.

Until then he will playing cards with the space core.
"Got any threes?"
"Nope... Just SPACES."
And I noticed that the adventure core was also sucked into space before them so maybe he'll be the cheating spectator.

Niiiiiiiiiiice. xDD
Yeah indeed, many people seem to forget that the Adventure Core was sucked into space as the very first.

Same here, but I think Valve has a reason for not simply killing him off. I would be so excited for the third game though you don't even know;

Yeah, I always suspected they wouldn'tve ended it like that if they weren't planning on doing something with Wheatley later. If they actually wanted you to be happy about defeating him I don't think they would've made him as sympathetic as they did and they certainly wouldn'tve given us that apology stinger. I also noticed in the developer's commentary they said explicitly that they launched him into space because they thought killing him was too harsh and letting him go would be too anti-climatic. So they probably always intended it to be an impermanent fate to give the players a ray of hope and make them excited for the next game.
Cause man if they didn't, that'd be just soul-crushingly depressing.

That is true! I haven't listened to the developer's commentary myself because I didn't want to play the whole game in that mode again but it's very interesting to know why Valve chose the storyline they worked in!
Besides, has Valve ever NOT left room for another game in their franchises except the multiplayers? xD

Yup. XDD Honestly though, Stephen Merchant himself said he'd most certainly be returning as Wheatley's voice if Valve ever made a Portal 3.
Is it wrong that I'm excited already
