So this is Nicholas, and he is a new character for my upcoming Frozen fanfic.

Nicholas is a man who holds ice powers that are similar to Queen Elsa's, but with a different story. Instead of being born with them however, he was cursed by an ice witch when he was still a young boy. One winter day, he was out sledding in the snow when a came across a peculiar ice cottage. Unable to help his curiosity, he walked into the ice cottage and gazed upon all of the ice sculptures and captured snow flakes that were created. That was until a witch with ice blue skin, hair and eyes appears and catches him in her house.

Though angry that he trespassed, the witch appears to him as flattered that he likes her creations. She then offered to him three secrets as to how she created them through three fatal kisses. The first kiss she gives him is one that numbs him from the cold, and the second kiss she gives him makes him forget about his family. Right as she is about to give him the third kiss that would kill him, her lips barely touch the boy's cheeks as Nicholas' parents arrive to save him. The Ice Witch turns her powers towards them however and freezes them solid, killing them.

Before Nicholas had anytime to react, an angry mob suddenly barged into the house and killed the Ice Witch while the young boy hid. As a frightened Nicholas hid away from the mob, he saw ice and snow scaling around the floor from his hands. As one of the mob's men found the boy, out of fear, Nicholas shot a beam at the man's heart. Enraged the mob tried to attack him, but the boy fought them off with his newly found powers and drove them out of the ice cottage. Now fearing mankind and not knowing who the two frozen people were, Nicholas was left alone in the ice cottage with a baby puffin bird to live a life of isolation.

Overtime, Nicholas had become an urban legend to everyone as the boy of ice and snow. He grew into a man who did all he could to stay away from mankind, but it soon became a problem. More and more people heard of the legend and kept trying to come to the ice cottage and despite his efforts to keep them away, Nicholas couldn't stand the sight of it. That was until his puffin bird Heidi came with a stolen invitation to the coronation of Queen Elsa of Arendelle. After some thinking and debating, Nicholas decides to go with hopes that talking to the new queen will help him set an order in stone for him and his home to be left alone for good.

So with a disguise set up, Nicholas set off to the kingdom of Arendelle. Once he arrives, he makes it into the castle to see Elsa being crowned the new Queen of Arendelle, though noticing that something's different about her. When the coronation party takes place, Nicholas does the best he could to avoid interacting with anyone else until he accidentally bumps into The Duke of Weselton. Right as the Duke begins to berate him and insults his attire, Queen Elsa catches sight of it and stands up for Nicholas, dismissing the Duke.

Although nervous and apologetic, Elsa shows Nicholas kindness and the two begin a conversation. After this, Nicholas attempts to tell Elsa of his troubles until Elsa's sister Anna comes in to ask for her blessing in her sudden marriage to Prince Hans of the Southern Isles. After refusing to give her sister a blessing, Elsa and Anna both get into a fight that causes Elsa to accidentally reveal ice powers of her own, much to shock of everyone else and astonishment of Nicholas.

Seeing the Duke of Weselton call her a monster and feeling the need to protect her, Nicholas convinces Elsa to come with him after revealing his ice powers to her. Seeing him fight off the guards that attempted to go after them, Elsa agreed and escapes the kingdom with Nicholas, freezing the lake they're running across and Elsa setting off an eternal winter.

Knowing that they won't be safe in the ice cottage, they both decide to run away to the Northern Mountains. Once they arrive, Elsa uses her magic to create an ice castle for them to stay in, free to use their powers without any judgement.

Overtime, Nicholas and Elsa get to know each other better and Nicholas' memories of his past start to come back to him about his parents and how he got his powers, while learning that Elsa had to isolate herself and try to suppress her powers after she accidentally struck Anna in the head with ice. With each other's help, they learn that some people in the world can be good and that their powers are nothing to be ashamed of, but can be beautiful too as they start to develop feelings for each other.

I would like to say though, that as far as designs are concerned, I did base this upon the Snow King model from the Snow Queen Scene from the Azaleas Dolls website. However, the only things I take credit for are the Nicholas character and bio.

Just seeing him in every game, I thought it would be cool to give him a character of his own and I am considering of doing a fanfiction on this in the future. In the meantime, I hope you all enjoy this and please stay tuned for more!
