Gotta love chicks with tools.
This is the first of two illustrations I did for work, and it's also the first time I've used Illustrator for shading. These were sketched in Photoshop, and inked and fully colored in Illustrator. It took me WAY too long, because I'm not used to using Illustrator this way, I didn't use any kind of tutorial, and I just know in my gut I'm doing this the absolute slowest and most awkward way imaginable.
That said, I like the result.

I'm really somewhat interested in what this is for now... When I worked at Sears, I know we occasionally sold these pink toolkits. The case was powder-pink, and inside all the tools were pink. I don't remember if it said specifically that they were for women, but that's what the implication was. Aside from that I always thought it was dumb that the tools were so cheap. *hugs her tool bag with all the normal craftsman stuff in it*

I don't want to be overdramatic and say I'm horrified at the thought, but I suspected it so strongly... lol
I know people have said so before, but it would be interesting to just be somewhere and see your designs on something, out of the blue (even if the product was questionable... won't hold that against you XD).

well for a first time using Illustrator for shading you did a bang up job with it......But one question how did you get some spots a little lighter than others with the shading ie. the leg?? or is this just me and my eyes can't see right at 4:30 in the morning
