These last two days, I made my Ciel Phantomhive Boot Covers so that my costume will be ready by Otakon ^^.I decided to create and post this tutorial of my process. I really don't think I should have to pay $50+ for someone to make a pair of boots when I can just take old school shoes and make covers for them. I can just use the same show with different covers and save money.
P.S. Yes, I will eventually be replacing the black dots for buttons. I just havent found the ones I wanted yet. ^^()
I will also probably edit the heel a bit so the fabric doesn't go over the heel, but arches above it.
Also, if anyone is wondering, In total, the fabrics and materials needed only cost me about $20-$30 max ^.^

Yes, but you'd need to make a cover for the tip of the shoes, since the whole boot is white.

Mine works out because i need black sticking out at the front. I'm saying that if you're gonna use my tutorial, you'll need to add an extra cover for the toe are that sticks out and sew it to the front of boot cover.

They're very well done, but I would suggest maybe using a stretchier fabric so that they don't slouch as much.

Great tutorial! Only thing is, these aren't boot covers (because Ciel doesn't wear boots all of the time). The correct term for these devices are spats and they were worn in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

You're welcome and its okay ^_^ I have always been obsessed with them and have yet to make a pair of my own to wear - I haven't yet because I need to make a coat/outfit to match lol! But they're probably my favourite clothing "accessory" thing.

P.S. It's actually quite hilarious to see my grandmothers face when she sees me at her sewing machine for the first time. First she's cool and then she begins to see what I'm making and her face turns from ^_^ to O.o lol The transition is hilarious.
