Oh my gosh, that is wicked sweet... I really love how sharp every detail is in your style- it really shows in this pic. The coloring looks -awesome-. I should also mention how hot the guy looks, and the pose really catches the eye.

Yay a spare minute!! Sorry I didn't comment sooner, but life got in the way AT...
Anyway, this is the first piece I want to comment on because when I saw it, I could see why you loved the character so much! The illustration is stunning, even the lack of background somehow adds to the overall feel (I think a bg here, unless very simple, would make the image confused).
The wings are what grabs my attention though, it must have taken ages to work on the intricate "feathers" and joints. Not much to crit negatively about this one! lol, lighting and shading are excellent and again you confuse me with your good work on the metal - Just how do you do it?
The pose is nice, but maybe the image would have held the viewers gaze more if he was tilting his head, looking at them? Just a thought, but its pretty much a personal opinion, rather than real crit.

Also, remember that since metal is very reflective, it'll reflect color as well, so if you have anything directly in front or closely beside the metal, reflect that color in it. For example, if the character has their hand pulled in front of their breastplate, their skin will be reflected in the armor. So dabbing some skin color on the metal where the hand would be reflected is a good way to show the metal-ness of the armor.
Sorry if any of that confused you, but I'm not good at describing things. Maybe that's why I don't make a tutorial.

Yes, I suppose. It's probably that most artists are rather hard on themselves, me a bit moreso. The only thing I can do is to keep working on it! Giving up because I think I'm not good enough is like shooting myself in the foot.

I love the composition and the overall feel. The lighting in the face doesn't completely match the rest of the body, I think that a little touch of shadow or variation would finish the piece with a bang. Good job!

His pose gives the feel he's flying! The colors are earthy, and his overall face is just great..I love the whisps of flying hair. His wings are spectacular. They look metal and that's how the description was. I myself am very pleased. I will post Lance's reply when he gets on next!
