My last Omniart contest entry. With this, I'll either win gold, silver or bronze, and with all of them I'll be happy. We were asked to create a scene from a game and give it elements of a real-life musical with a similar scene. This is The Dance in Final Fantasy 8 with a heavy influence of the masquerade ball in Phantom of the Opera. Starring Rinoa as Christine, Squall as Raoul, and Seifer as the Phantom.Related content

This picture is just stunning. The details on the faces, the outfits, the chandeliers, the floor tiles, everything is just amazing! You did a very good job at capturing motion with the dancers, bravo! ^___^

... This made my jaw drop. seriously. For me, it is rare to see such a well done piece of Final Fantasy 8, and I'm glad to see something like this.

It's gorgeous! I love the background and the characters, everything looks with such life and movement... It's really beautiful. I specially like the yellow dress and how it seems it follows the girl's movement.

Since its a marble floor there could be a bit of a reflection. That would really bring this pic to life

This is an excellent piece, I really love the dresses and the shading done on the folds, especially on the peach dress! The dance floor could perhaps do with some background participants in the dance to fill the room, but I understand that you had time restraints set on this, so no problem.
Again, I wonder at your use of the palette!

This is beyond lovely! This is amazing. Your clothing textures are perfect, and I love the ringlets the girl behind Squall has (so cute ^^). I love the way you get the hair effect too... very nice. The entire picture just works so well together... Beautifully done! I never finished FF8, but I love the style of that game, and I LOVE the Phantom of the Opera

If you dont' mind my critiscm.. There's one thing that's kinda peeving me out about this picture... There's no flow in any of the poses.... I like it a lot though otherwise, very detailed coloring.

wow, that's really cool, I've never seen the phantom, but I really like thier costumes, and that was like one of my favorite scenes in FF8, really cool portrayal of it. Squall looks so dreamy, heeh, I love him in that outfit, and Rinoa is so pretty in pink, lol.
