in a huddled ball
you see a child stare.
With her head bowed down to her knees,
she speaks a silent prayer.
She wonders each night
how this had happened.
Friends dear as life its self,
betrayal was unintended.
Always hurts, never cries.
In trying to heal,
too much faith was spent
on danger not aware.
But faith is needed to survive,
now there is none to spare.
So as she lay there
hoping for a chance
that someone might stop by,
she knows that no one cares enough
to help her as she cries.
For she is the girl
alone in a corner,
u see as u walk past.
With her head bowed down to her knees,
she sits and breathes her last.
