Awww ^^. I like the idea of the series but the look of some characters, particularly Haruhi and Kyon is rather jarring to me but I realize it's true to the spin off work. I'm cautiously optimistic. I own the movie but still need to see it as well.

Is it really bad to have a feel or energy comparable to other artists? I know Astro Boy for instance might've had some inspiration from Mighty Mouse.Β
And Astro Boy is about as far back as you can possibly go for Japanese animation.

My whole point was that their innovations didn't come from nowhere.Β So long as what I'm creating is still my own and inspires new ways of thinking, I'm okay if I'm not channeling raw aether. If my works make you think of Compile Heart or Nippon Ichi, I promise I'll be very happy. Β n_n
I applaud your devotion to improvement. But can I ask -- are you having fun, too? If you are I won't worry. For me, the act of creation is a stress relief rather than an act of discipline.

i draw for smiles -- i still think that way. it has negative effects but i try to make those learning experiences.
before improvement is a bumpy path. give me the opportunity to develop. with the opportunity you give will always be the mixture discipline and joys. the absence of the two will be the state i in right now.
