Well, It is an accomplishment worth a praise...I mean, this is just another step into becoming an even better artist. Such improvements are welcome, and thus, this artwork is part of your growth, I salute you for that....I hope I can do the same as you do, but I'm stuck up so far heh

You really think I improved that much?! Thanks you for thinking so. I always think that I'm being left behind by many younger artists who got to digital arts far earlier than I do, which is my frustration. If I was into it 10 years ago, it could have been better. Thus I think I'm a stuck up, for I'm not worth the acknowledgement since I'm still working on my art at such a late age...Meh, maybe a lot to do with mental state I guess....

Visualizing one object can be a challenge. I imagine a fully fleshed out background is many times that mental work.
I love the ethereal feel of that forest. The blue mist reminds me a bit of the forest that Ninian's manor is in.

Ninian's forest has more of an overcast and mysterious feel, but it's what the blue mist made me think of ^^

I think it's a deciduous forest, but the sort that has a lot of moisture thanks to being close to the ocean. There's actually probably a few of those in the Philippines. Below is a link to Wikipedia's article on cloud forests.

You're right, it looks like our forests here. Baguio's trees, moss and fern all look like what these photos present.

It's being a forest close to both a mountain and an ocean that helps create the mist. It's not freezing or anything, but it is cold and damp. At night, however, the mist clears up and it gets very intensely cold. Largely because the undead come out, and they chill the living with their presence.

I think conifers and primitives best in such environments. salty air kills most kinds of moss and other kinds of vegetation. I'm thinking what kind of grasses withstand corrosive mist... grasses that grow in the coasts or beaches. We have mountains here that sit near beaches. grasses grow but I believe they're too different from what i imagine as a Ninian's backyard. Can I ask for a pic of grasses in your region - Northern Hemisphere.

We tend to have short, hardy grass that can withstand cold snaps.
