I love spirals. And the way you've used them in this painting is amazing.

What, no comments? Pffff
The way you painted this is fantastic. The movement here is very present. That's usually surprisingly hard to find in a painting depicting wind. It tends to look stationary and solid, whereas here, although you used bold coloring and thick swirls, it flows naturally and beautifully. The texture is a bit interesting.
You managed also to make the woman look like she belongs as a wind sprite, rather than a figure the swirls were curling around, by keeping the colors of her skin and hair the same as the background and swirls around her, making the wind a part of her body (or rather her body a part of the wind)

Although only a few simple lines were used for her face, her profile shows very regal features that are almost birdlike, which is perfectly fitting, as she is engulfed by wind

All in all, a beautiful and underappreciated painting

Thank you so much for your wonderful comment !

I'm glad that you shared your thoughts with me... at first, I wasn't satisfied with that painting, because the woman looks so stationary. The face was also rather hard to do because I didn't want to "break" with the technique (no brushstrokes, just dotting the color but with the same thick brush).
Thanks for faving

She doesn't seem stationary to me but an artist is always their biggest critic, so I understand.
