Yoda, 8 month old Spectacled OwlMarch 7th 2012 - Master Falconer Matt came to our college to have a lesson with my wildlife rehabilitation class about working with birds of prey. This was one of his birds that he brought with him
Yoda was a sweetie, you could pet him on the head like a cat and he would bow his head and close his eyes and almost go to sleep!

What an awesome animal! Wonderful portrait, I love the eyes and the colours in general. The owl seems to be so gentle here

It is a spectacled owl, the one in the picture is a juvenile so he hasn't gotten the adult plumage yet
