Elementary/Childhood
As a child, Sen grew up with parents who were complete polar opposites. His mother, kind, courageous, and honest-loved gardening the most and taught Sen how to do house work and garden. His father on the other hand, was a hardcore kendo instructor, fearless, commanding, and only wanted the best for him- is hell bent on making him the best of the sports world, or the kendo world at least. Because of these two imposing forces in his life, it was taxing and too stressful for an elementary school child. As a defense mechanism, Ren was born, a haughty and confident counter part to the cry-baby Sen. It's pretty easy to say that if Sen is more like his mother, then Ren is definitely like his father. His parents soon divorced before his 10th birthday, which stressed him out even more, and finally Sen was diagnosed with Multiple Personality Disorder. Sen has known Kyoko, his step-sister ever since the age of 6, the two of them played well and were good friends, albeit Kyoko was extremely bossy at times. Sen likes to call her Ky-chan for short. After Sen's parent's divorce, his father remarried to her mother and they have basically grown up together ever since.
Middle School
Middle School is a painfully awkward and hormone filled time in one's life. And for Sen, It's extremely awkward, to the point of stereotypical middle school angst. At this point in life, he's already come to terms with his other self, Ren. (que persona jams) And had leaned over to his father's side of becoming a strong man. Sen spent most of my middle school year practicing sports and hanging out with friends. Unfortunately, during that time, Sen became to question many things: if he was actually happy, his sexuality, and if he really wanted to do only sports. He shops frequently with Kyoko, thus he got to buy plenty of cute things under the pretext of buying it for Kyoko. Sen spoils her anyway so it was no problem. As he kept shopping frequently for cute things, he had a hard time understanding why until he was called out by a fellow teammate. You could tell what happens next, Ren would come out very often when Sen performed at sports. This happens for months. Sen then starts visiting his mother, who revived his love for gardening and the more delicate side to him. In his second summer of middle school, Sen decided to talk to his dad on what a real man is and they both reconciled. In his 3rd year of Middle School, he and his dad (with the consent of both of his mother and step-mother) to get tattoos, the white flower arm sleeves were something he got later on.
Break before joining Kodaiki Academy
Besides practicing Kendo or tending to a garden, Sen didn't really do anything worthwhile over his summer. He frequently hung out with his middle school friends and went to visit his biological mother often. Sometimes he went shopping with Kyoko. He decided to hang out with his dearest friend, the days passed quickly after that, they spent nights at each other's house, days hanging out, and always went to festivals together. Before the last month of summer, his best friend dropped the biggest surprise on him: He was moving to Korea. Sen was devastated that his best friend was leaving, so he made sure to spend the rest of their summer hanging out as much as possible. When summer was close to ending, so was Sen's and his best friend's time together, so on the last day of Summer, his friend packed up his bags and flew off to South Korea.
