love the color and the shinny background. It's wonderfull metaphor of what i experienced when i crossed Bosnia on foot from Croatia to the Montenegrin border. It was one of the first time where the people were so hospitable and friendly. After some glass of Rakia the conversation moved often about the war but all of them were looking to the futur.

greater than what ? people forgiving the unforgivable ? it was great seeing everybody wanting to go futher especially this girl in mostar severly wounded by the war and so full of life and joy. It was just ashame that the land was so full of mines that we couldn't leave the roads.

There is a thing about our city. A lot of people who come here, say that there was something. It smells specific.. In a way that soul goes. Before and after the war things have changed; people are different and.. People are hurt. They are now divided more than they've ever been. In a middle of the city you can't feel it. But if you go further; if you go around the hills or villages you would see that they are so close but so far with each other. No one knows the other side over there. They are thought different and the same at the same time. Our ground that we put our feet on; is full of some injustice and grief. We gave her too heavy burden to carry. I know you understand these words. Our country is very beautiful. She has rare spirits and minds in her people; sometimes I'd like someone to see that.

We didn't spoke serbo-croatian, or just very few words and my level of russian was null at that time so we were not able to engage proper and serious discution.
It happened once with a bosnian who lived in france for many years and he told us some sad stories but he and his familly seemed wanted a united bosnia. It was almost 3 years ago now may be something changed by that time.

This is a great photo for Easter. Three nails, one tree and He is not there.
