Trying out new painting method (black and white to colour). I can post the process if anyone wants it, but it was a lot of "how do I anatomy/lighting/perspective/colour/background/EVERYTHING?!?!"
Getting back into the swing of things is harder than I thought. Especially with all the ME3MP.

I dig the style here its almost like looking at a character through a camera lens where he's in sharp focus and the background is in soft focus, its a neat perspective.

Yes, i used a bit of motion blur on the background (and Gaussian blur on his legs and feet) for the effect.

A bit? Um...between 3 and 30 pixels, i forget. Probably closer to 10.
I don't know what you mean by "how Gaussian blur works." There's an algorithm for it, probably dealing with blending pixel colours/values according to a Gaussian distribution. Do you mean how it is applied? I just use it to push things into background, if that's indeed what you meant.

Thanks. I think colouring this way is slightly simpler than painting directly in colour... or at least, there's more room for error.

I like the perspective on this one! It's not often we get to look down on Saren, after all xD The hints of purple in amidst all the white and black really make the orange omnitool pop. Very striking piece! ^-^
