My first drawing in 2011
A steam locomotive 354.195 pulling a cabin car (Daa) and two passenger cars (Bai)
These locomotives have very interesting history. After the establishment of the Czechoslovakia in 1918, CSD took over 15 Austrian locomotives class 629 and re-marked them as class 354.1. However, the next locomotives were manufactured in our factories in several deliveries in number over 200 pieces until 1941. The whole class was gradually improved and modernized.
They were very reliable and favoured among train crews. However, expanding diesel locomotives and units meant the death for them and they were completely put out of service in 1978.
