I think the only reason adding more defining features would have helped here is because without them, and a katana, people are gonna go 'Oooh Tron Spidey!'. Not dissing your work here, I think it's pretty boss, just though I'd point that out.

I love all of your Tr0n designs, but I worry about the eyes here. I read the above comments and I wholeheartedly agree. Don't just trace, work on trying to define the characters using the light bands to create new costumes. The two disjointed dots on the face though give the apperance of very close together eyes...

It looks good but I think the recognisability could be better if you gave him 'eyes' and also kept the signature shape of his side seams.

thats more how i see it.
there arent any really obvious design elements within the tron legacy designs, to me atleast.
so i felt it would be more fun to try to make designs that hint at the original design instead of blatantly showing it. which i thought was the worst aspect of the official marvel covers. no one in legacy has clear logos on them, so it would be more challenging for me.
deadpool has all the design elements of the original costume, but it makes you look for it a little.

All the Legacy costumes have a uniform pattern, except for Quorra who's asymmertrical lights are apparently meant to represent that she's a maverick.
But you're right, they don't exactly represent anything.
The Marvel covers would have to be recognisable though, you've got to be able to sell an image in a split second. No one has time these days to really an image.
But here you get the opportunity to be as subtle and as abstract as you like.
