I remembered something.
That night at the park you said that
in order to choose one path, you'd have to abandon an other.

You were right.

You wanted to become this colorful bird and explore the wonders of the world, reach high up to the sky, while I wanted to find a safe place I could call home.

So I stayed,
Placed my memories of you somewhere in my worn-out heart and went on to build my new home.

And you left,
Spread your new colorful wings and soared into the bright blue sky, on your mission to discover new worlds.
