yes! I always do a sketch first, just in pencil! You should read a little bit of Full Moon, I really love it! (and i cried a lot!!!) However, called it "piece of art" is quite an exaggeration, even if i really appreciate!!

Well I might try read a few chapters see if i like it, even though I'm not one for crying. I only call it a piece of art because that's how I feel, art is subjective, it depends on the person really.
