I really like this piece, especially the composition, leading the eye ever back towards the central couple despite the detail in the rest of the painting. The slight asymmetry also helps to make the image feel more natural with the building being cut of at the edges giving the feel of a photograph. I do think however that the piece would be improved slightly by an increase in contrast, it looks slightly washed out to my eyes but that is a small thing and a matter of taste. I really wish that I could produce something approaching this level of beauty and am at once awed and jealous.
