What's your process for this style? Is it purely photoshop? One thing I'm particularly curious about--do you use outlines at any point in the process? I'm trying to train myself into doing line-less art in Photoshop, but it's weirdly hard for me to get good forms without using lines.

Yes it's purely photoshop and no outlines/path/vectors involved. Everything I draw is freehand.
