I've always wanted to do one of these, and I'm actually pretty impressed with how it came out. A couple of the poses were referenced (because I suck) but a lot of it was all me.

From left to right these are my characters from my 2007 NaNoWriMo which I have decided to call Kino for lack of a better title at this time. First is Lieutenant Raze Clarks (who if any of you remember his original design that I hated, has been redone. I like him better now.) Raze is turning into one of my favorite characters after some re-thinking and planning with a good friend. Next is Clarien, the Oracle, who causes the main stir within the novel. I like her design here. I think she looks pleasantly worried about something. Then we have Major Ryen Ford - my guy. He looks angry, which is a good thing. He spends a good portion of the novel being upset by something or other - so it fits his personality.

Lastly we have Lieutenant Faye Marks. She gets her own paragraph because she was the one that gave me the most trouble. I finished the other three (Ryen, then Clarien, then Raze) in just one evening, and then spent the next week and a half trying to finish her. I'm not kidding. I must have drawn her at least two dozen times (on this paper and others combined) before I somehow, miraculously, finally pulled her off today when I was at work. I don't know what was so special about today that allowed me to finally finish the picture. Oh well. Isn't art funny like that?

So, now I have a semi-completed piece. If you'll notice - there is a lack of lines between the drawings. I can't draw a straight line to save my life, thus I kind of erased the erratic lines that I had in there at one point. So - you guessed it - I'm going to ink and color! Weee! I didn't like my last colored piece at all, so I hope that I can change the things that I didn't like. We shall see.

Characters and art are completely mine and I will hunt you down if you steal any part of this. However, comments and critique are completely welcomed and much appreciated!
