Wanetta and Shirley had been talking. Wanetta still acted rather cold and detached towrds everyone but Shirley could feel that she was warming up to others at least a little bit. Shirley's father Brian told both of them of shadow Pokemon on other ranches, and hopefully they could both go help them out. They were a bit lost however.

"Did my dad say the ranch was this way?..." Shirley asked.

"I dunno," Wanetta said. "I thought we missed it about 20 yards back."

"Well, shoot," Shirley said. "Then we're totally lost..."
After a few more minutes of the group wandering around and talking, a voice in the distance began calling to them. A tall girl with a orange shirt that had brown stripes, faded jeans, brown flats and a strange black cloak on began running towards them. She seemed to recognize them and motioned for them to come towards her.
"Who's that?" Shirley asked suspiciously. "A trainer?"

"Maybe a Pokenapper," Wanetta said dully.

"Wanetta! Don't even joke about that! That's scary stuff!"

"Sorry," Wanetta said, though she was clearly not sorry at all. "I'm sure they're harmless." And then she flew towards the human, forcing Shirley to reluctantly follow. Wanetta placed herself on the ground before Shirley followed. They waited for what would happen next.
"Hey!" The girl responded, kneeling down in front of the two Pokemon. "Hmm... I think I recognize you two. You're from Curtain Call, right?" She asked, tilting her head a bit curiously.
"What're you guys doing all the way out here then?" She couldn't help but ask, sitting down in front of the two Pokemon.
"We're looking for a ranch... I think it's called Fairy Forest or something?" Shirley said.
"Ooohhh, you mean Fairytale Grove?" The girl looked a bit happier at that. "That's my ranch! I can take you right to it if you guys want!" She grinned, standing back up.
"That'd be great, thank you!" Shirley said cheerfully. She looked to Wanetta.

"Oh. Uh, yeah, thanks."
Wings nodded. "Follow me!" She dashed off in another direction, motioning for the other Pokemon to follow.
The two Pokemon followed the trainer until they reached the ranch in question. Shirley took in the view of the new pretty ranch. Wanetta onn the other hand just wanted to see the shadow Pokemon of interest.

"So, the reason Shirley and I came here is because we were wondering if you have any shadow Pokemon?"
"O-Oh, yeah, I have one. Hold on, lemme go get them." The trainer, who was named Wings, ran off to go get the shadow Pokemon. Several moments later she came back with a shadow Snorunt in her arms named Blackie, a small Castform floating beside it named Stormy.
"Hello!" Shirley said to the two Pokemon. "I'm Shirley, and this is Wanetta. It's a pleasure to meet you both!"
"Hiya! I'm Stormy!" The Castform responded, floating down beside the shadow Snorunt, who was looking away slightly. "And this here's Blackie! She's super nice once you get to know her a little."
"A pleasure to meet you," Shirley said.

"Yeah," Wanetta interjected. "So like... what's there to do around here?"
"Not much yet... But we do have two eggs that need hatching!" Stormy grinned. "Because someone is a bit too attentive..." Blackie murmured under her breath, earning a slight glare from Stormy. "Wanna see them?"
"Sure! lead the way!" Shirley said.
Stormy and Blackie ran off towards a small little house where Autumn, a shiny Shaymin, and Orchid, a shiny Cottonee, were watching two eggs. One was similar to Autumn, but different colors, and the other was white, yellow and blue with a strange eye pattern on it.
"Ooo, pretty," Shirley said, petting the egg softly. Even Wanetta showed interest in the eggs. "Do you have any idea when they'll hatch?"
"Errrr.... Not really. It might take a while, it might not."
"Well, whatever the time it takes, I'm sure it'll hatch into something great!" Shirley said. She gave a chuckle. "I wish there wasn't much to do at our ranch, but with opening night coming up Hal is keeping us busy almost 24/7! This has been our only break in the past few days."
"Ooooooh, what are you guys doing?" Stormy asked curiously.
"Well, our ranch is putting on a big musical with a bunch of the members acting and singing and dancing a big ol show. We are just in stage crew, so we don't get to do any of that acting stuff. We just make the sets and stuff. We're going to put on the show in April if you'd like to come. We'd be happy to put on the show for you."
"That sounds awesome!" Stormy grinned, nodding. "We'd love to come, right?" She looked at Wings, who also nodded her head with a smile. "Yeah, we'd all love to come to that!" Even Blackie smirked slightly at the thought, but it was unclear if it was a genuine smile or a grimace of anguish.
"We'll be happy to see you there!" Shirley said. She looked over at Wanetta. "Don't you think you should be a bit more social?"

Wanetta rolled her eyes. "What do you expect? I didn't even want to come here in the first place!" she snapped. She then flew off to a different part of the ranch. Shirley wasn't offended or hurt by the shadow's words. She knew that Wanetta couldn't really help it.

She sighed and turned to the other Pokemon. "Sorry, she gets like this all the time. Would you be so kind as to help me find her?"
Despite looking a teeny bit confused, Stormy and Blackie both nodded and ran out. The latter felt something want to shift slightly, but did her best to fight against it subtlely. Thankfully, no one noticed as she dashed on.
"Wanetta! Wanetta, please, come out!" Shirley called out. They had followed Wanetta to a forest-like area. If there was one thing Wanetta was good at, it was being a good hider. "Sigh... are we even on the ranch still?" Shirley asked the others.
Stormy and Blackie were running around, also looking for Wanetta. "Where did you go!?" The Castform asked worriedly as Blackie looked to Shirley. "...I'm not too sure.
Shirley gave a sigh, and just as she was waddling past a tree, she found Wanetta. "Nevermind guys! I found her!" She saw them heading towards her and Wanetta but Shirley held up a flipper to stop them. She knew that too many people surrounding Wanetta would probably not do her any good. It was best if she talked to her alone.

"I'm not mad at you for running away," Shirley said. Wanetta didn't look up. "It's okay, you know. If you want to leave we can..."

Wanetta still didn't look up. Shirley waited patiently for Wanetta to do or say something.

"I'm sorry I yelled at you." she said. Shirley was appalled. Wanetta had never apologized or said anything so heartfelt so seriously. "I... I want to go home. I'm tired."

"Okay. That's okay. We can go home and take a nice rest. Come along," she gestured for her to come out from behind the tree and she did. "I'm sorry, guys, I kinda think we should be going now. Please understand," she said, looking to Wanetta, who wasn't making eye contact with anyone.
The others nodded as the two walked off. Blackie wanted to follow after them but stopped herself when the others started heading back. Confused, she followed after Stormy slowly.
