Description The ASIG is the device that lets members of ASP change forms freely without worrying about ripping their clothes to shreds or ending up naked. ASIG stands for Advanced Solid Image Generator, and it does exactly what it says on the tin – the ASP uniforms are essentially highly (and I mean highly) complicated and advanced illusions (SCIENCE!!!!). The generated clothing feels real to the touch and protects the body just like actual fabric would. It has actual mass and weight. Elements of the uniform can be removed, but must stay within a five-meter range. Any further than that and the removed item will simply fade from existence and the ASIG will generate a new one in it’s place on the body.

The V 5.2 is the final version that is free of any glitches and functions exactly as it is supposed to. This was achieved through years of trial and error. This device was developed by ASP and is not available to anyone outside ASP, nor would they have the know-how or the technology to use it.

FIG 1 – The primary component of the ASIG fits across the individual’s shoulder blades. The device is flexible and rests flush against the body. It does not impede movement. The blue light indicates whether the device is turned on/ has enough power. Even though it is relatively easy to remove and re-attach, the ASIG is not cumbersome and does not cause discomfort, so most individuals choose to keep it on throughout their daily lives. It can be worn under civilian clothes, so an ASP agent can be ready to spring into action at short notice.

The ASIG is capable of functioning for about two weeks straight with regular use, at which point it will need to be removed and recharged. The amount of time between recharges can fluctuate depending on how many times it is used.

Each ASIG is programmed to fit the person it is assigned to perfectly, taking into account their individual physical attributes. The ASIG can be reprogrammed at any time. So yes, this means that if you have the right equipment, you can reprogram someone’s uniform to be pink haha.
The ASIG is designed to withstand force and extreme conditions. Malfunctions are extremely rare, as all the glitches and shortcomings have been fixed in the previous iterations. The ASIG V 5.2 is highly effective and reliable.

FIG 1.1 – The primary component of the ASIG connects to the body via two small plugs on the underside of the device that fit into the two small ports on the body of the individual. Each ASP member goes through the procedure to install these ports. It is safe and painless. Through this system, the ASIG connects straight to the spinal cord, giving it access to the body’s nervous system. ASP have managed to isolate the signals the brain sends to the body to make it change forms, thus enabling the ASIG to detect these signals and either generate or degenerate the illusion accordingly. The same principle allows the individual to use their wings (if they have them) without the suit obstructing them.

The ASIG can also be activated and deactivated without having to change forms by manually operating the controls of the primary component.

FIG 2 – The secondary component fits at the base of the individual’s tail (or simply at the small of the back if the individual does not have a tail) and is merely an extension of the primary component, creating another point from which the image can generate, thus making the process faster. The secondary component does not connect to the body via ports. The primary component would be capable of functioning without the aid of the secondary component, but it would not be as effective and would run out of power faster.

FIG 3– This image shows the process of the ASIG generating the solid image. The process happens as the individual is changing forms and takes no longer than a second or two.

WHOOOOOOOOOOOO i'm actually kinda proud of this one and the techno-babble. It almost makes sense. Almost.. Anyway, here you go, now you know :3

How do you awesome....

Your human/humanoid figures make me want to flip a table. ;3; and the animation of this just looks so badass when I picture it in my head, the changing from dragon to humanoid form as the uniform molds to the body. Just. Omg its epic. This is a really REALLY cool idea for solving the clothing destruction problem without the cliche "BAM they just have clothes on"

"reprogram someone’s uniform to be pink" Cryptic. Cryptic no. Stay away from Jet.

But this is pretty cool! I can image Bugatti would wear it all the time, her hair would hide the top bit, and well, she keeps her pants on, so yeah. But this is so awesome, almost tempting to have Cryptic join ASP now... I imagine she would at some point anyway, but this makes it tempting to have her join sooner :I

Good work!

Abby isn't part of ASP, but he is probably going to try and see if he can locate one of these through his connections in the black market. It seems like something he'd just love to tinker with |D; Lol, oh the hilarity of someone activating theirs only to find it was reprogrammed to be covered in pink kittens and smiley faces.

The concept for the ASIG is absolutely awesome, Ann! It's a really cool answer to the issue of having agents with such dramatically different forms. Though now I have to ask if, seeing the uniform is essentially a highly advanced, solid hologram-type thing, could someone go and program it to cover a draconic form as well? =U

I dunno why, but I just find the image of draconic MTT or Zero running around in a tight, spandex-like uniform to be hilarious.

annicron In reply to LostEventideStudios [2012-07-02 15:59:44 +0000 UTC]

;u; thank you!!

and while technically I suppose it would be possible to make a variant that would cover the draconic form as well, this particular model is specifically refined to perfection to work on a human form. while it could be reprogrammed, it probably wouldn't be as effective and might end up glitching or whatever.
