EDIT: For those interested, the first page can be found here C: ---> [link]I was going to title this "Hack Girl Cast Lineup," but then was all "hey that's super boring." This is much more fitting.
Meet the gang! There are more characters, but these guys are the ones you will see on a regular basis.
Hack Girl: Title character. Kind of a vigilante-likes to bust computers and faces. Doesn't smile a whole lot, except while doing her "job" or in the presence of Lewis or grilled cheese. She really likes grilled cheese sandwiches haha---no
Really. She really likes them. Nick: Described by Hack Girl as being a "bully's wet dream." Extreme geek who is adorably tubby. Claims to be Hack Girl's sidekick.
"Something" Lewis: Hack Girl doesn't know his first name, but she's in love with him (though she denies it). She stalks him in her free time. Lewis is an agoraphobic boy genius who studies exotic birds and plants for a living. Digital artist by hobby. Makes beautiful things with his computer. As opposed to the people Hack Girl busts (who create hate and stupidity online etc). His legs don't work so good.
The Photographer: Serial killer. Likes to tie people up and take pictures of them before he does his thing. Has a "signature" for his victims. He and Hack Girl are obsessed with each other. They also want to kill each other. Main baddie of the story.
Some things they all have in common: Personality disorders. Obsessive in nature. Geeky and socially inept. Extremely pale (Hack Girl is set in Arizona, but these guys spend a majority of their time inside). A lot of quirky habits. Potential to be violent. All have a weird relationship with each other. Ramblerambleramble
A large part of Hack Girl is a challenge to myself: making silly and ridiculous situations work with gritty, dark ones. Having a tough female main who can have a love interest and both are actually good, interesting characters etc. etc.
I can't get started talking about Hack Girl because then I will talk endlessly haha. Anyway, still working on issue #0/the intro and then I plan to script more and release issues so you can find out more about these guys C:

Does Hack always wear those headphones ? Because if so, I've suddenly felt a connection to her (I'm always running around with my big colourful headphones around my neck). On that note- What kind of music does she listen to ?
Nick is so cute! I just wanna ruffle his hair and then in typical 7ly, scream hysterically at ignorant bullies about being vapid and obnoxious and all that jazz.
Will we ever find out what happened to Lewis's legs ? Does he walk oddly ( Rigidly? ) He sounds like a total sweetie, I can't wait for him to show up in HG.
Hmmm... I knew an old man who used to dress like the photographer (Sans paper bag of course). Ohhh, I'm curious about his signature now, that weird morbid kind of stuff intrests me.
I'm so excited for this comic Rae, even just with a couple pages out, I'm in love. And you have this talent for making wonderful characters- I can't think of any I don't like (You even got me to like LEO. SRSLY.) I keep reccomending this comic to people, and will continue to do so. Something about socially awkard geeky characters trying to make the world suck a little less REALLY appeals to me.

Oh! P.S. To answer if Lewis walks rigidly: yes. With his braces, he's able to walk with just a cane (as opposed to a wheelchair) and although they allow him to bend his knees, it's very awkward and hard to do so. So try walking without bending your knees and you'd probably get a pretty good idea as to how he walks C:

Yes: Hack is rarely without her headphones C: Her taste in music involves a lot of hard rock with a tough feel (ranging from classic 60s/70s to some modern artists of mixed genre). She also likes heavily electronic sounding things like Crystal Castles as well as a lot of indie style stuff.
Haha! I'm glad to hear that about Nick. He often unintentionally is able to manipulate Hack with his cuteness <3
We'll find out what happened to Lewis right as he's introduced. He won't come into the story until the second issue though C:

I love 'something Lewis' And HackGirl <3 I love the idea of giving someone like her a love interest , 'cause every girl falls in love at some point don't they?
I also adore the fact that she's to stubborn to admit this feeling , but stalks him. An obviously healthy choice. 
Also the fact that their all looking at the photographer like 'ohmaigawdpleasedon'traepme' ( except hack girl who's like 'immabeatyougood') is a cute touch to the pic. ^^

I don't know, maybe it's just me but she looks like (and, well, is) such a badass. 'Course, all the other characters look intense too! I love all the variety you've got here.
