Description
Acrylic on Deep Edge Canvas 16x12 inchesI made the crackled background by mixing acrylic paint with PVA glue and I couldn't resist adding a little owl!

Your love for trees can be seen in this particular painting, especially for their design, the way they grow and flourish over time, as each of those branches is made with a significant amount of detail which is cast on shadows, on interations between branches and the complexity of its character. While some people might consider trees as nothing more but a part of nature or give them significance only when they thank the creators of toothpicks, you took a tree and showed it in its true glory, you've shown it as the art which it is. One amazing detail that you've made within this painting, and I don't know if you have even noticed it or thought of it as such, are the bluish-greenish splashes of colour on the lower part of the painting which give the impression that the tree is actually the one that is painting itself.
And the owl frightens me a bit, but looks beautiful otherwise (almost feels like it's part of the tree, as in made from the wood).
