GOOD FREAKING HEAVENS THIS TOOK FOREVER. like more than a week. while working at least two hours a day on it. that's how long xD

so this was my project for my Commercial Art class. We're studying value, and how to create lights and darks with pencil and ink and stuff. So we were supposed to create an illustration of any existing book, movie, video game, etc, but using our own style. I chose to do My Little Pony. So I made a little illustration of the first two episodes, "Mare in the Moon".
Sorry the quality isn't that great, but it was way to big to fit on my scanner so I had to take a picture using my kind of cheap camera. in person, the moon on the left is supposed to be white, and same with the beams of light coming from it.

Oh well. I am SO PROUD with how this came out! I honestly imagined it looking a bit different in my head, but somehow I managed to make it look BETTER than what I imagined. And that NEVER happens! NEVER EVER EVER! But you get what I mean, this is probably the greatest thing that my hand has ever been able to draw and shade on a piece of paper.
