2020 UPDATE: Since this old stuff still gets attention, I decided to go back to the archive (an overstuffed ass folder under my bed) and not only rephoto this, but colored in the pre-inflation that wasn't shown before 7 years later. this is the only one I really care to re-photo, but I might actually try re-coloring some of these if it doesn't take much workANYTHING AFTER THIS POINT IS OLD:
I'm not done with MQ's request so in lieu of it I will upload two maxedman lineart colorings I've managed to finish, there is also a third on the way. this was one of my personal favorites from I freaking love what ever anonymous person requested him to do this! it's actually inspired me to do a potential series in the future, which is quite unlikely at the moment due to the ridiculous backlog of things I want to do already and the scale of the project.
ANYWAYS, HERE IS A SERIOUS TIP FOR ANYONE PLANNING TO COLOR MAXEDMAN'S WORK AS WELL, ESPECIALLY THE EARLY ONES. If you want to color his work you HAVE to do some cleaning in gimp or photoshop; mainly you want to posterize to about 3 to get rid of the nasty blur; this goes an enormous way into adding clarity to the image and making lines stand out, on top of that you should copy the paper color and remove any stray dots/marks that posterizing didn't eliminate with the paint brush, then play around with contrast/darkening and FINALLY desaturate the image. this is a bit of work but it makes a huge difference; especially for traditional artists like me who can't cover over everything with 0% opacity like digital artists can; normally if you try to color over blur it will just appear muddy and unclear.
