if you thought my title was offensive then you should quit while your ahead and eat a bag of dicks.Anyway, i recently found out Hetalia was bought by Funimation and they'll be dubbing and releasing it late into 2010 onto dvd, as well the manga was bought and is going to be released in America.

Im a Hetalia fan that started out when the series was brand new here, you couldn't find it anywhere and it took me a shit load of time combing google to find the live journal lawl, it was a small community it was new and it wasn't well known.
but now
now its slowly being clogged with 13-15 year old weeaboos who think its "OMG KAWAIIDESUKAAA!!1" AND FUCK, your not japanese people, just stop.
anyway off topic here, i just needed to vent, and this sudden influx of weeaboos is getting on my nerves and has made me rather irate, im contemplating dumping the fandom just because of how annoying its getting, also im wooing anime next this year....god the Hetalia cosplays will be up to my neck i know it...

I'm actually a bit of a yaoi fan myself but the insane fangirls drive me up the wall too, they're a bunch of prigs :/ so i can understand why it gets so annoying.

ah yes. Though i have only recently got into the anime (like in october) i can already say that the fans are really annoying. Seriously, if it wasn't for my love of geography and history (and the anime itself) i would have dumped this anime as soon as i found it (though i cannot denied my obsessive fangirl moments)

i mean i love Hetalia but the fans just make me want to pull my hair out sometimes, lol xD

Yes, I remember when the fan base was small, though I never became a 'fan' of the series. Started getting more and more popular. I too am 'ugh'ing at the fact of it being brought over here, not being a fan myself but the increase in artwork and topics about it. Every time something becomes hugely popular and I might have once wanted to watch or see what it was about, when it gets blown out of porportion or becomes hugely popular, I no longer want to be a part of it simply because it's talked and drawn about so often that it no longer makes me interested.
