Description
I kept seeing this "Inktober" thing floating around over the years, but never actually by the first of October, so I've always been too late to jump in. Not this year! Unfortunately, as my scanner has ceased to exist, I'm forced to do this whole thing digitally, though I do have some nice pens that I really need to break in one of these days.Not only am I taking this as a "draw a thing every day for a month" challenge, I'm also constraining myself in two other ways, because I like needless restrictions:
* I can only work at a canvas size of 800x600, alterable only in orientation.
* I can only work in black and white.
Let's see if I can keep at it. I'll be going with the prompts on inktober.com/rules .
============
Oof, today's motivation levels were at an all-time low, and inspiration wasn't far behind... and I deleted my first pass about 75% of the way in because I was just that unsatisfied with it. Truth be told, I'm not even that satisfied with this one, but I'm out of time.
I have a few characters that regularly wear coats, but this one is one that hasn't seen picture form in a while and I wanted to not forget how to draw him. I'm not used to seeing him without his hat on his head (or a smug smirk, but that's beside the point). My initial idea was having someone displaying or inspecting a coat, but I settled on putting it on instead.
I think I've said everything there is to say here. Here's hoping tomorrow's turns out better.
