I kept seeing this "Inktober" thing floating around over the years, but never actually by the first of October, so I've always been too late to jump in. Not this year! Unfortunately, as my scanner has ceased to exist, I'm forced to do this whole thing digitally, though I do have some nice pens that I really need to break in one of these days.

Not only am I taking this as a "draw a thing every day for a month" challenge, I'm also constraining myself in two other ways, because I like needless restrictions:

* I can only work at a canvas size of 800x600, alterable only in orientation.
* I can only work in black and white.

Let's see if I can keep at it. I'll be going with the prompts on inktober.com/rules .

Curse these migraines. I'm counting myself lucky that the one I woke up with today cleared up, even if it was well after dark when it happened.

The prompt "overgrown" only brought to mind an overgrown lawn, which led me to one scenario that I've had in my head for some time. Just a crew of adventurer newbies off to one of those beginner-level quests to get rid of a monster nest in an abandoned house. You know how those quests go. But perhaps this house has more of a future for these guys than it first lets on...

UGH architecture. I have no idea what I'm doing. I just thought "big house" and slammed some lines down. How can something as simple as a house be so complicated to work with? Still, not... abysmal for such a rush job. I'll take what I can get at this point.
