I kept seeing this "Inktober" thing floating around over the years, but never actually by the first of October, so I've always been too late to jump in. Not this year! Unfortunately, as my scanner has ceased to exist, I'm forced to do this whole thing digitally, though I do have some nice pens that I really need to break in one of these days.

Not only am I taking this as a "draw a thing every day for a month" challenge, I'm also constraining myself in two other ways, because I like needless restrictions:

* I can only work at a canvas size of 800x600, alterable only in orientation.
* I can only work in black and white.

Let's see if I can keep at it. I'll be going with the prompts on inktober.com/rules .

A little insight on my thought process here. "Enchanted"... An enchanted evening? Nah, I'm not big on romance or fairy tale princess stories. An enchanted item? That's more my speed... but what? Wait, I have a character that specializes in enchanting items! Let's bring him on board!

The time I had to work on this one plus my level of enjoyment in the process really shows here, I think. I'd been experimenting on and off with a change in my style to encourage me to draw more facial variation, and this is one of my better attempts... not that you can tell apart from the nose.
