Sorry; there’s gonna be a bit of a wait on my end of the trade.

I slowly walk into the grounds of the lone Wolf ranch, enjoying a calm autumn day.

Brandon was outside of the wolfhorse barn, spotting you as you come along. "Howdy there! I think I got a wolfhorse just for you." He directed you to follow him. "Wanna see?"

I smile and jog to follow him.
“Hell yeah sir, thank you.”

In the stables, there was a brownish wolfhorse in many shades of coloring. He had a shaggy mane covering his neck, including his legs. "This here is Beast. He may look menacing, but because I worked with him for a time, he's not as bad as you think."

I smile and head over to his stall, smiling at him and offering him my hand to smell.
“Howdy there, Beast, it’s nice to meet you.”

He huffs, walking towards you while sniffing you. Beast seemed friendly... a whole lot.
"Well, you wanna saddle him up and take him for a spin?" Brandon pointed to a light tan saddle tack that was in his stall, sitting on a haybale.

I smile and nod, gently petting Beast’s head and though his mane.
“Definitely, but first I’d like to spend a bit of time getting to know him.”

"Okay, go in his stall, cowboy." He opens the stall door for you to enter.

I step into Beast’s stall, continuing to pet around his ears and mane.
“Howdy there big fella.”

Beast comes to you, and nuzzles your chest. Since you were a lion, it's no difference that Beast thinks of you as a distant relative... somewhat.
Brandon also enters the stall, watching you interact with the wolfhorse while sitting on the saddle.

I smile, purring slightly as I rub down his neck.
“Howdy there, sweet boy.”

"The way he's looking at you... He thinks you look just like him." Brandon says. "Was it destiny for Beast to come near you?"

I shrug, kneeling down to scratch the underside of Beast’s neck.
“Who knows, but I’m glad you thought he’d be perfect for me.”

Beast licks your face.
"Heh-heh, he sure is."
After approximately 12 minutes later, it was about time to work with him. Brandon hops off the saddle. "Alright, you ready to take him out for a ride?"

I nod, patting his back before lightly placing the saddle on.
“Yup.”
I turn to Beast.
“Are you ready to be worked with?”

He nods in agreement.
Everyone was at the wooden round riding pen, as Beast stood in the middle. You sat on the fence to watch.
"Okay buddy, show him what you got!"
Beast rears up, and gallops around the pen 9-12 times. The saddle flaps around just a bit, considering there's no weight on it. He comes to a stop, standing where you're sitting on the fence. Beast wanted you to climb on.
"Well, go ahead!"

I smile and slip off of the fence, petting his neck before slipping into the saddle.
“Alright buddy, let’s do this right.”

Carrying you on the saddle, Beast slows his gallop so that you could be able to ride/steer him around.

I steer him a wide circle before trying a few figure 8s.

Beast goes round and round as if he were in a barrel race.
"Yeehaw! Hold on tight there!" Brandon waves his hat up.

I stay atop of Beast, enjoying the high energy ride around.
“Great ride big fella!”

Time passes while you ride, as you both are tasked to complete minor activities. Beast jumped over hurdles, raced around barrels, herded 4 young wolfhorses that weren't ridden yet, and played a quick game of rodeo for you. His bucking level scale was about 5, since he really wasn't a bucker as much.

I smile, rewarding each successful task completed with pets all around his ears and through his mane, constantly praising how good of a boy he was and how skilled he is.

Beast pants like a dog, and appreciates you petting him in the right spots.
"Hoooo doggie!" Brandon came into the pen, "You two make the best duo ever! Now, after all everything you guys done, what do you think?"

I hop off, moving to Beast’s head, petting him around the ears.
“I think he’s perfect. If you’d be okay with it, and he’d be willing, I’d like to adopt him and take him home.”

"He's all yours." Brandon pets Beast on his forehead, rubbing his mane. "So long, fella. I'll be seeing you again."
Beast was ready for you to lead him home, after nuzzling Brandon.

I smile, scratching under Beast’s chin.
“Alright buddy, let’s head home.”
I hop back on his back, guiding him home

Beast walks on the way home as you guide him. Brandon watches on, as another wolfhorse from his pleasant ranch has been adopted.
