Another fantasy sketch. I'm really loving the website/generator artprompts.org; it's been great in helping me practice anatomy. I love using the "character" page, it's the best.
So, Liz, what's up with that armor?
I really have no idea. You can tell where I just kinda went all "ehh, this looks vaguely knight-ish" and drew a line. I was thinking for this one...elven (hence the ears), REALLY long white hair (how she would keep that in a helmet, I don't know), light armor (heh) that seems to glow...and then I thought, screw your ableism and screw you too, so her arms were lost in battle. (Actually, the way I like to think of it is that at some point her arm clashed with an enemy sword during some horrific battle of the ages. She lost both arms throughout that war, because some magic can't be fought off with medicine or the healing spells their healers knew. So, having had both arms either amputated or otherwise lost, she ended up with specially battle-fit enchanted armor that works like her old limbs would have (just...more metal) but as a sword and shield respectively. She's disabled when the armor comes off, of course, but can still fight on the front lines when needed. She's a renowned warrior across the land. I really fell in love with this idea.)
But what about those shoes?
Well...they're kind of...yeah, no excuse, the shoes are mistakes, but I didn't think it took away from the drawing too much, so I decided to say 'screw it' and upload this anyway. I was copying a picture of really old armor I'd seen online, and the shoes sort of...did this thing...it didn't look very convenient for running, but on horseback I'm sure it worked great. I don't even remember what I searched to find this, but hey, ig you see a picture like it, that's what I was going for. Only, in a clueless way.
And the sword...well. I just had fun with that.
