Pen-and-ink doodle in old (2016) English notes.Homo heidelbergensis, or Homo rhodesiensis depending of whether you're a splitter or a lumper. Inspired by the Bodo cranium - which had the largest face of any human specimen ever recorded.
Inspired by the Kennis Brothers' reconstruction, that looks vaguely angry:

I personally tend to imagine African H. heidelbergensis as having curlier hair than this, but otherwise a nice portrait.
