Name: Tenebris Inanis Lune
Parents: Princess Luna, Tantapus(?)
Species: Alicorn/miasma hybrid, genderless and sexless.
Build: Tall, slender, balanced.
Occupation: Heir of Equestrian throne, Equestrian royal.
Special talent/cutiemark: overseer of darkness/tantapus. no cutiemark for mysterious reasons.

Alias: Sovereign of Darkness, Sir Lune, Tene, slimy nightmare horse (umbra only fyi), Guardian of the Tantapus.
Inanis is certainly an enigma. At first, Celestia wasn’t sure how Luna did it, but somehow her sister and the nightmare manifestation of her sister’s conscious came together to produce an offspring. Even more peculiar, but expected, the offspring was born without a sex. Eventually when it was intelligent enough to speak, it gladly agreed to use the pronouns, they, we, and them, respectively. Of course, Luna couldn’t bring herself to destroy a foal, even if it was a mutation of the Tantapus.

Like their cousin, Dissonance, Inanis doesn’t feel to speak much, or at all. What draws the differences between them is that Inanis is more prone to ignore whomever they are being spoken too, and their first impressions usually come off as “rude” and “cold”. However this is not entirely true, as Inanis is only spoken to when they are needed in serious or formal circumstances. They are overly arrogant, blunt, and difficult to negotiate with. To their younger sister’s dismay, they are the eldest, and therefore heir to the throne of night.

The ponies of Equestria have never been informed of Inanis’ origin. The royal court decided that Inanis would become Luna’s official heir, in hopes that the tantapus inside Inanis could be tamed once and for all, since Luna herself had a hard time dealing with it. And so Inanis earned their title as the Guardian of the Tantapus.
Overall, Inanis is calm, composed, a little sadistic, bold, and quite intimidating.

Trivia:

-alot of ponies are weary of the blacks in inanis’ eyes. Many just assume its a side effect of being the child of an alicorn, but some ponies have other ideas..

-inanis is very tough. It seems almost impossible to sway the pony. Only their sister, Umbra, knows that they’re absolutely terrified of bunnies. She always finds a way to tease them about it.

-Inanis doesnt mind being called sir or ma’am, or any gender confirming pronouns, despite being called a they. They think its easier for the ponies, so they just let their subjects do whatever.

-yes, Inanis has the canterlot voice whenever they speak. Its quite a shocker when they decide to contribute to a royal meeting. (sometimes they seclude themselves in a bubble just to practice toning it down so other aren’t as shook when they talk)

- Inanis loves their sister and mother very much. They tend to be a little overprotective when stallions try to hit on them. Twilight notes that this reminds her of an older brother, but she never mentions it just in case inanis is offended.

I also noticed this other deviantart user had some suspiciously similar ideas to mine with their mlp next gens, but im not going to make a fuss about it just because some of their pony designs are rlly pretty and i dont wanna bash them for that :,))))
