From another notebook of mine. And another timeline quite similar to ours up to at least the present.

The year is 2130. World war three had ended a few months ago. Its survivors (over 90% of the original population, thanks to missile defense and neural uploading) are done with their collective sigh of relief and are working on reconstruction. As part of this reconstruction, a few scouts have been sent to check out a place that saw very little action during the war: Mars. They'll probably find my house in five hours.
