I wanted to do meme material with my precious bab Ethan, and while watching iDubbbz I came up with this. Ethan has hardcore social anxiety when trying to fit in with humans. As an artificially created ex-bio weapon with little knowledge of human society - that can be expected. Ethan is trying his best dammit. >:II've been in love with drawing him since I've been getting back to my original comic (whom he is the main protaginist of)
So huzzah, the comic's back!

► The Story ◄
After the year 2020 the once great country of the United States fell prey to an Authoritarian Dictatorship where noone has rights, noone has wills, only obedience or... death. In the year 2047 almost all hope is lost as the states combine and split into an entirely new concept known as "Sectors" with Sector Y. being the lair of the power. Where ungodly bio-weapons are made left and right to help their reign of terror... until one of them - a boy created - starts to question his creators.

Same Ethan same, was trying to talk to someone yesterday and I ended up sounding really high pitched and squeaky response to the question the guy was asking me. My girlfriend thought it was cute, while I was embarassingly laughing. I have severe anxiety, mostly social anxiety. I have sat on the floor in an aisle in Walmart and had a panic attack because my brain was literally imploding from anxiety. That's why I'm training my dog Ironhide to be my ESA dog for these situations, he picks up on my cues for when I'm anxious and is right by my side for panic attacks. So I think he'll make an awesome ESA dog.

DUDE I've had the same issues before, fshjkdhks, walmart and stores are a living nightmare for me, how the fuck i survived as long as i did at my old job was a miracle, then again it was a MAJOR trigger and stressor for my anxiety;;; but im so glad you have an ESA <3! he sounds sweet, i have my two furbabies - a cat and a dog - who help me <3 my dog is a total sweetie, oddly though my cat picks up on my stressed episodes and depression than my dog! Its weird but sweet <3

Awe that's so cute, cats can be an ESA animal just like dogs. A lot of animals can be ESA animals actually. Sadly I can't have cats, allergies. I only had outside cats in my childhood and teen years. And after my last outdoor cat passed on we never got another one, I still pet random cats that cross my path despite my allergies. But I rush to the nearest bathroom to wash my hands and avoid touching my face or eyes so I won't get an allergic reaction. And Ironhide is pretty much certified, I just want him used to the public and going places before he has a vest and everything. My therapist said they would give me the note to have Ironhide as my ESA dog a couple weeks ago. The only thing that I'm hesitant about is that my local area is known for people randomly walking up to service dogs and petting them

I may not really have social anxiety myself,
But I've had to overcome the fear of rejection.
To me,
Rejection was like
1) A knife thru the heart
2) Tearing my world apart
3) Leaving me clueless
On what to do with myself
Afterwards...
...While I tried to stave off the tears.

Oh yeah I know that pain... rejection is part of social anxiety, for me socializing is so hard even online, but I've slowly overcome the obstacles through the years! It gets easier, just in person it hasnt, more so worse;;;;

Not the same condition, but i have a similar Story :
A friend of mine always says "You draw so good, i hate you. How are you so good? What did you do to get there?"
For years the same Thing! One Day i had enough and said "15 years of social Isolation and bullying, you should try it."

Simply put,
My heart is going out to you.

When I was in Junior High,
I decided I wanted to be a writer.
Except,
By my own fault,
So I believe,
I got bullied for it;
I had made it too 'public'
Or too obvious,
That I wanted to be a writer;
Something or someone had inspired me on this course.
Thus,
My writing notebook was getting stolen
Coming back to me with stuff written in it.
One day a boy in my class asked me
If I had gotten my notebook back.
I believe he was a good person,
But at that time,
It was hard to know whose side he was on.
This happened in Grade 8.
By the time Grade 9 came around,
I was ready to leave;
The place had gotten too 'familiar';
By my own fault,
I didn't really feel 'safe' there anymore.
So,
I am no stranger to being bullied
And choosing to isolate myself
To avoid getting hurt any further.

Nah, dont worry. This guy is an actuall friend and those words were more like friendly teasing.
I did have actual bullys though and they gave me mixd Signals About my Talent. One time they would steal my pencils and hide them, the other day they would ask me if i would draw them. (Make up your freaking mind!)

HA, I feel it. Its like with art beggars who come and love your art but when you dont yeet it free it goes to how awful you are and how unfair it is they cant draw as good. It's like... we took the time to practice and improve, maybe instead of acting so entitled, pick up a pencil? Not even a fancy one, you can practice with a basic piece of paper and dollar store pencil set.

It's my personal belief ;D I used to be hyper jealous of other artists, but instead of hating them I sought out to improve, - just sometimes working to get better is easier said than done, and with people who have entitled beliefs - they feel that's too hard, but you will get NOWHERE whining and never bettering yourself. And that applies to everything - skills inculded.
