I love this pic all around. The background, shading, her hair and clothes... very very interesting. Also.. the birds give the picture a disturbing touch. Only thing that could possibly be improved on is the water, but it definitly doesn't take away from the picture.

wow. the vibes... I can't pinpoint the emmotion, somewhere between sadness, apathy and emptiness. The image just has such a vibrantly dead feeling... she's so pale, so languidly pale I can't help draw the comparison with a frozen corpse. The whole thing brings to mind some of the old abandoned factories and rail fields around Bethleham and Pittsburg, that area- they're really disturbing if you sit there and look at them too long, slowly rusting hulks of steel and iorn. I can see her laying there on the ground with the wrecks standing around frozen in time, with her soft down feathered hair and the dead bidrs hanging from her belt...
The face and cloth here are amazing. I would swear that the shirt's real. Beautifully done, beautifully vivid and somewhat oddly alive... awesome.

Yes, yes!! Exactly!! The slight bags under her eyes and the way the light barely touches them adds to it as well. To be able to capture such an elusive and subtle emotion so strongly is a feat in itself! =O

i like the use of brown in this one. Great texture. That yellow ribbon reminds me of an old urban legend where a girl's head was kept on by a ribbon and her boyfriend was stupid enough to untie it and watch her head roll off. But your girl looks too cute for her head to just loll off like that, so we'll pretend I don't have stupid rantings like these, anyways.
