Quite a piece of art - this sculpture - and that "art" of talking.... Both are about communication - sometimes art speaks clearer than some people

Thank you very much for your kind comment, dear Mel.
The sculpture, named "De Omhelzing"(The Embrace), was made by the Dutch artist Marga Brey. Her art is characterized by the passing of round shapes in angular shapes.
And indeed. Art does not cause Babylonian confusion as long as we do not discuss it ... Β

Language is not always the best way to communicate - even when we think we use the same vocabulary....
The sculpture reminded me (in some way) of those I saw in Oslo from Gustav Vigeland - see my Oslo folder...
I find these works so "accessible" - and their interpretation so enlightening...

Stephen Hawking's was an amazing man never letting his ALS prevent him from doing the work he wanted to do in his life. My brother Serge passed away a few years ago from ALS. Stephen Hawking's the longest survivor on record provided immense inspiration to my brother.Β

I'm so sorry to hear that you lost your brother to this terrible disease, dear Denyse.
And I truly hope that the inspiration Stephen Hawkin provided to your brother has help you all through such an emotional time.
"Black holes are not as black as they are painted.
They are not the eternal prisons they were once thought.
Things can get out of the black hole.
So if you feel like you're in a black hole, do not give up-there's a way out. "
~Stephen Hawkin
