I've been wanting to submit this for like 3+ weeks but internet at home was straight garbage so here, take this!

He had been scavenging for several hours now in the wetlands, but the heat was becoming too much to bare, and mud from the wetland marsh clung to his thick fur like glue. He was so sore from swimming through his now-flooded territory, and his body felt almost engulfed in the sun's flames from the thick heat that came after the rains.
He slowly made his way into the jungle, songs from birds and insects piercing his ears and welcoming him back to his shaded oasis.
Tiberius made his way deeper into the forest and soon found a natural spring, one he was familiar with, filled with crisp, cold water. He dipped in. The cold greeted him with delight and chilled his tired bones until the soreness left him. Peace.
