Description
Hezellia stumbled down on her hands and knees in the snow of the mountain pass, shivering uncontrollably. Behind her the genie followed along in the air, unharmed by the biting cold or the freezing wind. The thin air did not make it gasp in a desperate bit to fill it's lungs as she had to do. It was surprised the woman had managed to get this far, clad as she was only in the thin raiment of a royal servant girl."Regret, thou must, your stealing of your owner's magic lamp." he scoffed at her. "My thanks for doing so, and for making thine one wish that ye were somewhere not so hot and arid as the village where thou didst live. The lamp will stay here in the snow for many years where ye dropped it, undiscovered and buried. I will find sweet solitude here, at least for awhile, from the wretched humans who seek for it. Always they are seeking for it. A madness that they inflict upon me time and time again. Three wishes they always want. Three selfish desires fulfilled. Riches and fame. Ha! Long life and good health. Ha! Revenge on their enemies. Ha! None think to release me from my service to the lamp. None care of my suffering."
She tried to form words but her chattering teeth would not cooperate. No sound of other humans or animals or even birds came to her frozen ears. Only wind and the slight tinkling of ice and snow, the crunch of the drift under her limbs.
"Now each wisher only gets one wish, " the genie continued, "and even that I make a hard sentence. Perhaps one day a human will summon me forth and will have learned from all you who came before him. Perhaps he will have considered the tales of foolish wishes and hasty desires. How dangerous my powers can be. Perhaps then he will choose to free me from my chains rather than indulge his petty whims. Yes, perhaps some day."

Thanks! I wasn't sure about the diginni's lower part but I guess it turned out good.

Hmmmm. Well he was a successful merchant of household knick knacks, dead sea supperware and bird feather ink quills with naked dancing girls carved into the pinions before becoming a djiini, so I guess he would like his old life back.
