I think it's the atmosphere. I don't know about other watchers but for some of them having people adds to the noir/creepy aesthetic that comes with your photographs. That or people adds life.
On the other side, Having nobody is it's own atmosphere.

Very Nice. A piece of urban sentimentality.Β This reminds me of my childhood growing up in Pennsylvania.Β I realize this is a photo taken in Memphis, TN, but it shows that some aspects of various cities and even suburbs are the same from town to town, state to state (sometimes).Β Old emotions arise from seeing this.Β Thank you for posting.
