Firstly I'd love to thank Eggman249 on Garry's Mod for making this awesome downloadable prop character which can be downloaded here: [link]
I noticed there weren't any good screenshots or clear references of the Servant Grunt's entire body so I decided to make one

well if this is from a video game, it's probably why i've never heard of it; i don't have any video game system and i've only played l4d twice from my friends house...it's safe to say i screamed when i was attacked by a horde O-O;;;;

I finished that part a few days ago. I've never been so nervous and I couldn't stop talking about REALLY random things while playing :'D

Well, if you think about it, unless they were constructed randomly out of the dead tortured corpses by the Shadow itself, they would have had genders at some point or another if they were once human. A part of me wants to believe that a few of the soldiers that drank the tainted wine might have disfigured into grunts/gatherers.
My friend suggested that what would have been awesome would be to see more variations of the monsters, based on the torture chambers that Alexander and Daniel used. A melted person for the brass bull, a tall, partially ripped person for the inverse rack, and a mostly sawed in half by the crotch person for the saw. I know there were a few others but they're not coming to mind as quickly. xD
Also, a few animal enemies, like the dogs, would have been terrifying.

You do make valid points. I think in one of Daniel's notes, though, he talks about how 'strange' Alexander's gatherers are so I'm wondering if they always looked like that but Daniel forgot because of his Amnesia.
In Penumbra they have zombie dogs.

Stories with alchemy always end up leaving you with mysteries. xD They could have been poorly constructed homunculus by Alexander.
