Everything is top-notch fantastic. The subtle waterfall gives it all the feel in the world. One can only imagine falling into that blackened abyss.
And such varied landscape. Amazingly realistic yet moody, from mountains to river to city to forest to sky, this is definitely one for the ages.

another great piece from you. The athmosphere in this piece is just stunning, it has such great colours and gives the image a mystical feeling.
I love your rocks/mountains. they could belong to a fantasy movie, yet they look so real that they could be somewhere in the real world as well.
the image has an excellent composition, all elements work together, creating a fantastic impression. the low-opaque mist is a nice add too
excellent!

what strikes me here isn't actually the landscape... more the clouds... a fantastic composition here.

Very beautiful. This one that shows more nature than most of your paintings, which is definetly not a bad thing. Excellent job.

You are the most talented scenery artist i've ever seen, you give me so much insperation.
This image seems to mix fantasy and science fiction for me. The tower looks quite futuristic, but the rest of the image feels like something from a fantasy book. There are so many toughts in my mind when I look at this image, I can't really put them to words, but the overall emotion of this landscape is taking me far far away.

needless to say already that it's a favourite.
This is another excellent piece of work (but from you, what isn't?). Whilst it's plain to see that your main line of style lies within the more futuristic touches, all that alien archetecture, it's a stark contrast to this much more natural scene which heralds similar beauty.
So what's to say, the waterfall is easily my favourite part. I have a thing for them really, powerful yet oh so fantastic to savour visually, shame the 3d program i work with doesn't have that kind of capacity. Great that you included one here though, and i like that to the right of it, its pretty much a chasm - brings in a mystery appeal to the image, what is down there? is it as gorgeous as is what is at the top of the falls?
Now, you've got a knack for doing clouds well, that cannot be disputed. A lot of your images have the sun in fairly central and unobstructed view, good to see a twist on this (no pun on the cloud formation ). Stunning sky tones and a scenaric drifting mist really polish off the image well for me.
One of the other key attributes to this was the spire like feature of the landscape. Now whilst this is entirely for the images benefit as i can just reach in and grab the depth, what also got me was looking down towards the base, and to the river. A most excellent reflection in the water... i can't quite get over that for some reason unknown to me. Speaking of depth, the trees in the foreground, aside from being exceptionally well detailed and coloured, definitely enhance the image in that department, good work there.
The only thing i'm perhaps less keen on is the left rock face, the brushstrokes give it a slightly more cartoony feel in comparison to the majority of the other regions in the image, however this may be due to the fact that since it is shadowed, the atmosphere isn't affecting it, whereas in the most part atmosphere affects the image.
Makes me wish i was back in switzerland. Fabulous work Gary.

This piece is absolutely stunning! I like the red/pink tint in this sunset and you managed to capture the effect quite well without going overboard on the intensity of it. The story and detail behind it adds to the mystery of this land.
I definitely agree with skipgamer, alyn. Your comment is very inspiring and it's obvious you put time and effort towards typing that comment. Not to take the glory away from Antifan, but Alyn's comment does seem to speak for many people on this one. +FAV, +Watch!
