I love this kind of giant-sci-fi-things-that-makes-you-sligh tly-dizzy.

Critics: the wall in the foreground looks a bit too flat/plastic.

The sky is practically photorealistic. What a huge amount of details! Mostly your skills show in the way you've done the perspective - there's lots of air and a great feeling of space. Sometimes details just make the picture look stuffed full but not here.

That is beautiful!
There is so much details. The trees are amazing and I love all the lights. And I adore the sky. Amazing.

I absolutely love the dichotomy in this image, how the forest contrasts with the technological behemoth of the city; and yet, both are an equal part of the landscape and can coexist. This is absolutely gorgeous. Do you sell prints?

I dont know exactly what to say when I look at this scenic delight. I simply stare out at the gentle sloping terrain, the light passing between the trees and branches to touch the ground, noticing the dim lights of civilisation and technology along the sleek walls of the building in the distance.
The glow of those lights seems as if the area is bustling with noise and conflict yet you capture a point in your image that simply takes the audience far from the chaos. Gently laying them down in an aspect of life we long forget.
This is breathtaking to say the least. I hardly ever comment like this. But i must say - absolutely amazing work.
You are a brilliant artist and I hope you excell further with your works.

Arf! Again G, an awesome & inspiring piece of work. I dont meant to flatter you man, but the thing is, basically every aspect of the image is of amazing quality, atmosphere, details, composition, etc. etc. its an immense load of inspiring & well done work that you have made, respect man.
But like i say, whats the point of a comment if it has no depth or reasoning? No feelings or emotion? I would say a comment like that would be a let down to all the hard work you have breathed into this image, & also like i say, one must immerse themselves into an image before respecting it with their feelings fully.

Interpretations, interpretations, art is all about how one is affected by art as an individual, not to be obliged as to others interpretations or persuaded of cliche thought cycle, to truly feel an image you really must delve into your own self & read your own mind, art isnt something you just scrape past with a simple summarisations such as 'cool!', cool in my opinion dosnt show why something is cool, or what you find in the image, its more of just a slack way of saying 'nice image', but it dosnt really satisfy someone all that much to just say 'Nice image!', no thought, no emotion, just a simple expression of spontaneous impression.

This planetscape depicts to me a most serene planet, a place where all works in perfect harmony, the light brings a repleneshing light of life, & it never turns on the planet, it is always seemingly giving the planet a wealth of prosperity & light. More so are these fealings accentuated by the fact that this planet does indeed look to be of a most perfect condition, the light snow on the tree's, the glory of the cloudscape amongst a warm sun, the placid movement of the inhabitants on this planet, the naturalistic building architecture & design, all on this planet seems at a perfect balance.

I cant help but feel this is a planet that anyone would want to live on, or that anyone would wish to live on, the vast mountainsides, spawled with all sorts of possible life, tree's, planets, exotic grass, along with the fact that the civilisation amongst this planet seems utterly most peaceful & respecting of their surroundings, the warmth of the planets atmosphere & vibrantly humming life builds up an image of clarity & beauty, something most irresistable.

Besides from the oh so obvious & prominent peacefulness of this indeedly perfect planet, the fact remains that there is life & a story behind this planet, as each planet or life does, however some are more of a history log rather then a story. But for this planet, the lands seem unplagued by war or jealousy, virgin to the envious or wickedness of a many lives. The inhabitants of this planet surely posess intelligence & much respect for their surroundings, for if they did not, they would surely be mirrored with the planet, like a disease amongst a perfect being, so is life can be amongst a planet.

What surely makes all this picture possible & imaginable is your photorealistic yet fantastical detailing & use of colours, the harmony that the colours work so well togetherm the effects of lightsource amongst everything, (such as viewable as coloured light tinting onto the buildings) the sheer scale & perspective work, you capture a perfect scene, it deserves all the attention it can get. Heh sorry if it seems like flattery, but i just like it so much!

At first i was staggered, really in awe... all the details and colors that are in involved make me stare in wonder and think of the daily life ppl would have here in this metropole... they could watch this beautiful sunset every day, gaze upon natures beauty and it wouldn't be a waste of time... thank for taking me to another world, your world where only these sort of events would happen.

Hey man, I'm sorry about what happened with the impostor. I've seen it happen so many times to good artists. But you know, this stuff happens and you just have to get through it. I've heard of poeple stealing others' work, but never them actually impersonating you. That's just unbelievable. It's sad how far someone will go just to get some attention.
Keep on doin' what you do!

Okay, now you've got me in a quandary. Another gorgeous and well-crafted piece that I want to use as a desktop wallpaper, but I can't decide how to crop it! I could take the right portion, but then I'd lose the Sun. I could crop with the Sun on the left edge, but then I lose the foreground construct. Aaaaaargh.

Still, it's good to have choices .

DeepChrome In reply to novispoon [2004-09-14 05:15:16 +0000 UTC]

Why not just make a letterbox-style wallpaper? Scale it to whatever width you want, and then expand the canvas on top and bottom to cover the entire desktop? Then you don't have to cut off the picture itself in any way.
